| I have a question. My 83 Rabbit GTIs headliner has been reattached several times so much that the padding is gone and the fabric just sits there and flops in the wind. Where's a good place to get a nice reasonable new headliner with padding. Also, drivers seat is ripped beyond repair. Where is there a place to get replacement VW seats? |

Around this area we have Jo-Ann fabric stores. If you have a similar place near you, they usually have the exact felt-backed headliner material in the red or blue. Get a few yards of this, a can of good high-temp spray adhesive, and remove the cardboard headliner base from your car. Be sure to clean the old adhesive off completely.
Easy job if you have a non-sunroof car. Requires a little more patience if the sunroof is there. |
