Obviously, nobody wants to know the difference between gas and oil shocks. They want to believe that a gas shock has just gas in it and an oil shock just has oil in it. I gave up trying to explain it years ago.

And all "gas" shocks are not the same....Which is why the KYB Gas adjust and Excels behave very differently.....

Could it be because of the different valving each shock has? Same reason, not all "oil" shocks are not the same, valving?

So, looking for shocks for the Rear of my Super. Has a stroker plus lowered and all..

Thing is some of the roads I run have chatter bumps so not looking for a shock that "packs-up" and starts to bump the rear of the car around on the back roads in the chatter bumps..

Guess from what y'all are saying GR-2s/Excells will work, or a good oil, what is y'alls take on which shock will work best? From that I am gathering I should try the GR-2's/Excells by KYB? RB

Ok, just to chime back in and see if anymore people will chat. it up on shocks for a Super, but yes, ordered some Excell/GR-2's for the rear of my Super the other day. So, those will be going on soon... Front Struts are fine, just oil but will get upgraded to gas when the time is right.. RB

Not sure about the particulars on the super but when I upgraded from kyb shocks, which I always thought were pretty good for the price, to bilsteins it was a clear and obvious improvement. Worth the. 4x price.
