Rolling the car in and out of the garage has been an adventure as the steering box and the shaft were not connected.
Now I can steer the car! The t1 box and the t3 shaft align perfectly! Woot!!! Small victories.
Things have slowed as we have added house remodeling to the mix. But, for today, some progress. |

Nose is still about 1/2" higher than should be. Something is not allowing the body to settle completely at the front. Rear pan bolt holes are right as should be. Hmmm... |

My heads finally arrived from the head porter with a loud bang on my front porch. I was out behind the house when I heard it. By the time I got to the box, the driver was gone and the damage was done 🤒 So, I contacted the head porter with pucs of the damged chambers on one of the heads and he told me I could work them back.
Now, I have opened up manifolds to match intake ports, but to touch the chambers, on something as expensive as these were, well...
I was able, with nervous trepidation, to clean up the combustion chambers on the new to me heads.
I also installed valves in one chamber to see what the volume was. 52cc. Going to an .060 deck will put me right at 10.3 CR...Perfect! That was where I was hoping to get to. Whew! |
