Since it is going IRS as soon as this rolling pan is stripped, I can say never. |

I love my IRS 65 Notch with sunroof. It rides so nice, that I can drive it for hours at a time. I can't say that about a lot of the cars I own, but that one I can. But then I built it as a cruiser, a long distance cruiser that is. You'll love the sunroof. |

Does anyone make the t3 specific pan gasket anymore? WCM seems to just make the generic stuff now. |

WOW, you didn't waste any time getting the body off. That pan looks nice and solid too. 8) |

I pressure washed the pan yesterday. Some wite brushing, a small patch and rust inhibitor should be enough. |

POR-15, upper and lower ball joints are ordered. My goal of body on pan has been pushed back, but for the right reasons! |

I think that's all that's available any more.
As for ball joints have you tried Rock Auto? I got Meyle brand the last time I bought some. |

Spent the morning prepping my pan for POR-15. I found one more hole, right under the driver's heal. So... there will be a bit more to weld prior to coating. |

Second coat is on. Pretty happy with the result! Now, to get those balljoints and install. |

Did you change out the rear kick panels on the donor pan for the notch style? |

It shouldn't make that much of a difference, since it'll mostly be stripping extra parts off |

You might try some self sticking pick up cap seal. It\ll end up like that sticky residue that is commonly found on later VW's. Might be worth a shot, and it's cheap enough to work with, since you're not going back 100% stock. |

I might, or I might just use a liquid gasket. I am hopi g for an initial fitting this week. No gasket then as the body will come back off. I need it on to see if my trans/engine hanger idea will work. |
