I have a 90 Westy. Recently on 2 separate occasions I got in turned her on and it set off a loud grinding noise almost like a lawn mower going over pavement. It lasted for about 20 seconds and then stopped. ??? Huh?
The first occasion it was after about a 3 minute drive. The second was after about an hour on the highway.
what is it? |

| sounds like your starter is trying to engage the already spinning flywheel. possibly bad starter switch. if I'm right its no good for starter or flywheel, fix it ASAP. |
