I'm troubleshooting my camper electrics, and understand that the ground is 'behind the fridge'. Is there a trick to getting down there without taking the whole thing apart?
Thanks! |

There are 2 different grounds back there. What are you trying to work on?
The one for 110v AC is down at the floor and not really accessible.
The one for the 12v kitchen equipment is higher, behind the panel under the sink.
You should be able to follow the wires into hole in the panel. Then find the phillips screw that attaches a couple black wires to the horizontal wall rib behind the panel. See if you can get to that one.

| The 110 volt ground? I believe you access it through the small cabinet next to the fridge. |

First tell us what you are repairing.
The shore power 110v ground is accessible by removing the floor of the cabinet to the rear of the fridge.
The 12v ground is behind the hardboard panel to the back of the front cabinet. You can easily test it without removal. Of course the location can be moved to the B pillar. |

Here's what the shore power set-up looks like on my 83.5 all pulled out. You can see where the ground wire bolts to the floor rail. I don't remember if you can get to it with the cabinet in place.
Disregard the black wire coming from the right (front) - that's the wires for the water pump and water level sensors, but it looks like it goes to the outlet box #1 in this picture. That wire is attached to the mid-panel rib that the 12V ground is attached to a little further forward behind the sink (to the right) as Mark mentioned.
