Thank you to my brothers & sisters in arms. Thank you to your families for the sacrifices they have made or continue to make. I appreciate your service to our country. I know many others appreciate that they get to sleep in peace at night.

I always go back to a mentor when I was a boy. Sgt. Hall a man that served in U.S. Army and was there for Battle of the Bulge. A decent man, he sacrificed more than we can appreciate. On a lighter note he came home with a German war bride named Hilda. I liked her too, she could cook😀

To the 1% of the population in the military, Thank you for your service,

To the 1% of you who are combat arms, thank you for serving and putting yourself in harms way for our freedoms

For the 10% of you who came under fire , there are not enough words to express our gratitude.

To Staff Sgt Frank Murphy who passed in April, age 95.....who served in Anzio in WWII, Combat in Korea, and two tours in VietNam....

Thanks to all serving now and in the past. I have always worked in the defense industry and we always took a moment to personally recognize those who serve. Harder to do in these work-from-home COVID days.

I am old enough that in my household growing up, this was called Armistice Day (even after the official renaming to Veteran's Day in 1954), more out of habit, since we recognized those who served in all conflicts and campaigns.
