I've got a '69 Bug that has been in my family for almost all it's life. My grandpa bought it while stationed in Atsugi, Japan in 1970/71 from another service member.
We still have the original owner's manual and it shows the car was serviced very early in it's life at "Sagami Garage". The rest of the stamp is hard to read due to some mold/water damage on the page, but the dealer number seems to be 708 1404. NAF Atsugi is right near the Sagami Bay, so this seems to fit into the history.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this garage? This car has become a rolling family heirloom so I'm interested in collecting as much info as possible. Thanks!
