| Does anyone know, for sure, what the original size is, of the in-dash speaker? Apparently the size of the dash speaker for the 79 Super Beetle, is different than the earlier years? I thought I finally figured out that it's a 5", but JBugs tells me the 5" is for 74 and earlier? I bought a refurbished radio (Saphire XIX mono AM/FM) I'm getting frustrated in my speaker search. Hoping someone here can help me! Thank you, in advanced. |

Sorry, can't say for a 79.
My 73 has mounting holes that are 4.75 inches apart.
I'm shopping for options that fit.

There's an in dash speaker? PO put an aftermarket monstrosity in mine, but I'd prefer something a bit more subtle. |
