Hiya! I have a 1960 South African SO23 and the engine code is something I’ve never seen; it starts with SF. As you South African bus owners know the MCode reflects the country of delivery as SF. So, did South Africa have their own motors? |

The engine number in my old South African Bay Window started SFCR:
SF = South Africa
C = Engine code (1600 single port, low compression)
R = Reconditioned
So they certainly had a plant that factory reconditioned engines. What's the full code on yours? |
