Hey guys. I've been toying with the idea of using a different steering wheel on my bus and before I go diving into math Hell I'm hoping one of you already knows the taper angle for the steering shaft.
Using my calibrated eye-crometer it looks like its 7*
Thanks all, NAES |

| Taper angle? The splines for the steering wheel are straight, aren't they? |

Whats up J dot?!
This is for a '61. Steering wheel is tapered and held with a woodruff key.
Barneys are splined I believe. You've been hanging around all that super early stuff! Lol |

| I have a reamer that is the correct angle. I think it was 2 degrees on each side. It is made by Award, model L-813. I would rent it if you don't want to buy one. |

That might be a great option. Thanks man!
Let me go ahead and do some measuring to see if the angle is 2* per side. If the reamer or end mill is affordable I might step up and buy one.
