Has anyone tried to modify a bug-eyed baja front end kit to fit a Super?

Superbeetles are not a good base for a Baja kit, the strut front suspension relies on the whole front structure for strength. If you cut the fenders or the front tin, you are weakening the structure that already flexes for street driving.

install a strut brace to reinforce the front end.

I've seen super bajas and the reinforcements that go with them. I also have a kingpin beam that I'm considering because my framehead is rotted. I simply like the bug-eyed look even if I keep it a strutted super. I found a forum with a guy that fabbed a nose from metal and chopped the hood. I was just wondering if anyone else tried this as the final product was never posted.
Thanks!
By the way, I personally like the wider, more rounded super look. Nice pics!
