I bought new Lobro CV Joints and they have different lines then my old ones. What side faces the axle? And is the pictured one set up correctly? Thanks!

Looking at the last picture, it’s assembled so that the upside goes on to the shaft. I’m basing that on the taper face of the grooves where the shaft inserts and the angle machined into the cage. |

I've come to accept the cage bevel concept.
Flip it over, the other side should be milled flat across the width.

the usual telltale is anything machined will have a "lead in" chamfered into an assembly.
the chamfer would go towards the axle shaft because it has this 'lead in' machined into it. it's purpose is to leave a "ramp" to guide something together for easier assembly |
