One of my last to do items b4 I go to paint is to install a removable apron on my 67. My plan is to purchase a rear apron cleanup panel(67) from Creative Car Craft this:

After removable of the original apron I plan to bond the above cleanup panel directly to the decklid with a 2part epoxy so that it comes up when I open the decklid. The trick will be to make sure everything lines up perfectly to look original when the decklid is closed. Has anyone seen this done b4?

No. I have a removable rear apron myself, I got tired of having to jack up the rear to remove the powerplant. Personally I foresee problems with your plan. You are going to have to account for the engine seal back there. I guess cut it so the center section goes with the decklid assembly, and then tuck it back in when you close it. So every time you open to check your oil you will have to get the seal back in place. This is going to also add a lot of extra weight, if you are still using the original decklid spring to hold it up, it may not have enough strength.
If you follow through and do this post how it comes out. I am curious, but I am not going to try it.
