Has anyone had any success using stop leak for a leaky power steering pump? I know I need to replace it but I’m hoping to buy a little time…
Thanks!

It's worth a try. The steering gear on my '91 was leaking a dozen years ago, and after adding fluid with a stop leak added it is dry today. |

It will stop a seep, it won’t stop a drip or flow. |

i've had ONE success with stop leak in my life... one. old Mercedes PS pump, flinging oil from the shaft seal. tried ATP AT-205 and i'll be durned if it didn't slow, then stop. been fine for over a year now.
that same stuff, AT-205, did zilch on a crankshaft seal on a neighbor's car.
worth a try. |

Dad & I resealed my Westy's leaky pump with this: https://www.autohausaz.com/catalog/c/vw/1990/12865...amp;page=1 . Leak-free ever since. |

It turns out it is actually the switch that’s leaking (although the pump has been weeping for a long time now). I threw some Lucas in to see if it’ll slow it down enough until I can find a replacement… |
