Original 12 volt plug type generators have both of the large long bolts covered with a red plastic tubing from the factory possibly to prevent shorts. A friend of mine has a original generator with green tubing. lIt is usually scraped off prior to rebuilding or ignored altogether. Why are newly rebuilt ones missing this plastic tubing piece? I used heat shrink tubing to cover them. Any comments? This may be nit picking but whatever. |
