Getting a set of these ready to go. They are in pretty good shape but I’m finding that they won’t quite rewind all the way. The coiled up belt gets too fat about 5” short of full rewind and hits the plastic cover (and base nearly simultaneously). Anyone resolved this before? I’m debating trimming 5” off the floor end and re-stitching it together. While the webbing is really good it must be a bit more “puffy” than it originally was.

Seat belt stitching and thread may be very specialized, for safety....

Yeah I get that. I can do it properly if needed but I don’t much look forward to it. This would be on the “easy” end, where the belt is still coiled around it. I’ve done it on the outer end before, that sucks, especially ripping a sample apart on the tensile tester to be sure I got it right.
