Hi and I really need your help!

I have a -58 beetle Diamond Grey L243 and looking for a new headliner.
I really want to get as close to the original color as possible. The original color is Light Beige U125, mohair and the B-pillar made of Vinyl K185 B Light beige.

I have order Beige color fom Wolfburg West but its to much beige and the B-pillar is worse. TMI, what I understand, does not have Vinyl B-pillar but is their Beige closer to original?

Do any of you got some tips, any brand that come close to Light Beige in the color range?

Hope to get some advice!

Hi Henie
Have you considered using tweed headliner. I know you want original but you might find a closer color and it is much easier ( and
more serviceable )to install than the mohair. Just a suggestion

I suggest you try Himmelservice for a more 'authentic' original type headliner material match - if 'originality' is what you're shooting for: https://himmelservice.de/en/

I used them for my 1957 DKW mohair headliner, in beige-tan. Easy international transaction, and probably easier for you in Sweden. They're located in Germany, and have the 'goods' that the usual VW aftermarket suppliers don't usually have!

Many headliner makers will send a small fabric sample for your inspection for a small fee. This helps both them and the customer obtain satisfaction in the final sale.

Ask for fabric samples. Nothing beats having that sample in your hand.

Get samples of the fabric, do it..."Without Guesswork" Just a VW would have you do!

By the way, and totally unrelated to the topic at hand regarding headliner fabrics, hese are cool little service books , Without Guesswork...

My mind wanders a lot, going off topic "Without Guesswork" books just came to my mind.

This shows how VW has permeated my mind since childhood. I think of the word guess, and for some mental drift, I think of the name of a some what obscure VW service booklet that has the word guess in it's title. I need a shrink I think, and that rhymes.
