We have an opportunity to have our avatars increased in size, which would make them easier to see. The increase will be 20 or so pixels and i think it would be a great use of the free space left on the right side margin.

edit- FYI, the alter would mean you have the opportunity to enlarge your profile pic. If the change did happen, your avatar would remain the same size unless you uploaded a new image.

Why is there no option to get rid of avatars entirely? Pointless and distracting things they are.

na, they are not pointless, easier to see an avatar to know if you want to read that person's post :wink:

You can turn them off in your Control Panel if you wish:

Exactly! I remember samba people far better by their avatars than I do their names.

I think a lot of people don't read the Site Forum, they stay in their specific Bug/Bus/etc. areas.

I think its like a status thing to some, If you have been on The Samba for a while you should know who has knowledge and who the dumbasses are.

Hate is such a strong word.

Just feel that Vanagoners are in their own little bubble and not part of the larger VW community.

Never read the Site forum, never read or post in the Show forum and other than you, never post in the Off Topic. But then everything seems to be included in the Vanagon "lifestyle" so why look anywhere else.

I increased it last night to 120x120

I also increased the maximum file size a little as that might be needed.
