View original topic: Silding Door Roller Cover Rivet?

The sliding door roller cover broke off and I have a new one to replace it. It appears that you attach using a rivet. I've attached pictures of existing but want to make sure how to put the new one on.
Di pop this off? It does not look like it unscrews. Thanks for any help!

Stock was more of a plastic pin than a rivet. Pull those out with pliers or small dexterous fingers. The cover will stay on just fine without it.

Yours looks like someone did use a pop rivet. I would try a pair of side or flush cutters, or a careful Dremel cutoff wheel approach.

I remember seeing new pins and/or covers a while ago, but I can’t find them on my phone, sorry.

I use a sheet metal screw because the curtain cord attaches there with the Z-Products curtains. The original pin was a plastic one. They get brittle and fail, that is probably why someone used a pop rivet on yours.
