I painted the belly pan on my 69 Baja with Por15. I wore latex gloves so I would not get the Por15 on my hands. I had seen a few posts that stated it would be imposable to get off your skin once it dried. My hands were saved, but my forearms, neck, and even my legs got splattered. I never noticed the big blobs on my forearms until the next day. You can try all the toxic chemicals and solvents you want, Por15 will not come off your skin with those.

What did work was vegetable oil. I soaked some into a paper towel, and then rubbed the towel over the stuck on Por15, waited 60 seconds, and rubbed it off with a dry paper towel.

I don’t know how long it would have taken to wear off. Especially the spots on my neck. Good luck!

I think gas works too. I tarred the driveway last year, tar was on my hands and everything. Gas took it right off.

Steelwool works also.

by the time your done with steel wool and gas..youll need a new set of hands. use heavy gloves next time and tape a long sleeved shirt to the gloves wit hduct tape so the por 15 dont seep in. this is the way I did it when I por 15'ed the entire under carriage front rear and the interior side of the pans....I was swimming in this stuff.

BTW... i was joking.

Just be careful and it comes off in a week or so.

paint thinner works well

Thinner and Gas will work if the Por15 is wet. Once it dries I have had no luck with anything, except the vegetable oil

I`ve had some pretty good luck with mayonnaise & avocado, then if it doesn`t work, break out the chips and no waste, no want. Actually one of those dish scrubbers and that orange pump handcleaner, but it does make some pretty harse red spots. But it healed up fine. :?

I used gas right after I finished painting.Didn't get it all off my hands but the rest wore off the next day.

First dip your hands in battery acid, then bleach , then get a friend to wire brush you down (works best on a drill) Then get some skin colored paint to do any touch ups..

Has anyone tried wd-40. You would not believe what that stuff is capable of doing.

Just go to the wd-40 web site to check out some of the other amazing uses. :P

good luck

Per the instructions it only comes off with time once dried. I was able to scrubb some of it off, but not much. I was MUCH more careful the second round . . .

Greg, I suggest a pair of disposable coveralls before your next attempt. Rubber band or duck tape the sleves to your gloves and go for it. Strip when you're done and have you girlfriend/wife give you an overall inspection and remove any goofs before they becomes a semi-perminant part of your body. A lot of stuff we work with can be hard on your body. You'd be suprised how much body hair a little piece of catalized Bondo can remove when you pull it off.

40 grit is the way to go!

36 is quicker

I used it again today and must say that patience is the best tool. I doubled up a pair of latex gloves, took my time and had no incidences at all. I am going to put some chassis coat black on my pans either tonight or first thing in the morning so I can flip the pan back over.
