| I need to replace the right rear backing plate on my daughters '69 Baja. Do I need to remove the CV joint and axle, or can I just take off the seal cap and swap out backing plates? |

Just the seal cap & swap out the backing plate.
However, it wouldn’t hurt to remove the CV & axle stub to clean out the old bearing grease & repack them. |
