Searching on internet for best bus cover that will not hurt the paint job? Comes with westfalia roof racks too… wondering if anybody know a good cover?

NO cover made does not in some way harm paint. Using no cover saves paint.

Buses are quite valuable these days. If they are in any way in decent condition, it's worth the investment to have them garaged. Car covers damage paint by trapping moisture and rubbing in the wind.

Despite all the damage a cover can do is there one that stands out in protection when forced to be outdoors?

The bus depot ones have been good to me for about 3 year stretches as long as it’s not on/off very often. I would recommend the pricier version.

Realistically though a tarp carport from Home Depot is in the same ballpark on price and way better for so many reasons. You can use cinder blocks to elevate it if you need more clearance for a rack.

There ARE ways to protect your Bus outside AND get the size/shape you want. You can also add very soft protection inside the cover IF you want to pay for it. Just built a Deck and added some expensive furniture, then I ordered covers for the chairs. Many custom Patio cover companies out there- here's one> https://www.coversandall.com/patio-furniture-covers-c
You give them the measurements and they build it. Most of these companies offer all types of covers, not just furniture. You can make the interior of the cover smooth as you like for a lot less than a car cover maker would. Measure well, they add the extra width. Tarps can bake your paint once stuck to the paint-don't do it. Forget the "car cover" - make one

Tarps also trap moisture, which leads to rust at the point of contact. If you want to destroy your vehicle while you store it, then by all means use a tarp.

Personally I would NEVER use a plastic/nylon tarp as a cover.

I have two cars that must sit outside (seven car garage is already full) and I have for many years bought those vehicles expensive form-fitting "Noah" (developed by Kimberly Clark Co ?) quilted covers which are very water resistant, shedding the vast majority of rain water off the cover material. Nice car covers often also have a soft, almost felt-like inner surface to go easy on your finish. Cheap covers usually don't do as well to protect. Great covers are also breathable and allow any moisture that gets thru to the underside of the "Noah" material to evaporate away.

Of course I always keep a nice coating of car wax on those vehicles to take any mild beating that my covers might get in the wind. Waxing the paint finish yearly and buying a nice (read: more expensive) quality form-fitting car cover has worked out great my those cars in my fleet that have to reside outside. Car covers do wear out eventually and I just watch for it and then buy another nice one.

The above precautions have worked out for me very well for decades.
