I recently purchased this dune buggy mold from an estate sale for what I think was a good deal. I'm unsure what manufacturer this mold originally belonged to. How much money do you think this mold is worth?

Limited market...maybe a couple of hundred dollars to the right person?

Looks like you only have the top 1/2 of the mold for a Dune Buggy. Unless you also have the bottom section that attaches to the floor pan, then it's not even worth a few hundred bucks.

The Baja front end molds might be worth $300-$400.

I actually do have the bottom half of the mold.i just currently do not have a picture of it. I also have a hard top mold, 2 different hood molds, and 2 sets of 2 different side panel molds. I got all of these for $500 at an estate sale.

Might want to contact Acme Car Co in PA to see if they might want them since they're in the business of building dune buggies.

The buggy hood and side pod molds will make panels for a Hi Jumper like my own, the set on the left side of both pictures, and then the more angular set is the later Ascot 3/Sand Sprite style. They will both fit on many different buggy frames.

The Baja hood mold will make the Rountree style with headlights on the fenders and the hood looking rather like stock VW, as opposed to the more common Sandwinder style with the 2 "scoop" shapes on the hood. I prefer the Rountree style in many ways, although the hood on my Baja is Sandwinder style, and I have a spare that is also Sandwinder. Note that both styles were from the same company. Don Rountree owned Sandwinder Buggy Center.

The buggy mold looks to me like a Joe Poty "pickup" style.

I think if you have someone who can make parts in those molds, that you made a great bargain.
