Is this what I read? I responded to the ad that Lenny had for a convertible top but after 3 attempts, nothing.

The went with WCCI and wow, what a bizarre ride. But this makes much more sense now that they might be one and the same.

I have had a very difficult time communicating with Morrie, I will not get into the specifics, but I am finding it very difficult to get any response from him.

Phone calls, emails. nada.

This is not yet a feedback item, just wondering if they are the same company now, and if you have any idea how to get a response from the owners.

I will say they are not the only people that post ad for sale and don't respond, its getting like craigslist. Sorry Everett.

So, I can only tell you that I have had almost the same experience. I did email with Lenny, and then someone else, and even speak with Lenny once. But I was being asked the same questions over and over, and never got a quote to do the interior for my car. Lenny did tell me he was partnering with someone, and that it might be a while. Eventually I went with Marcus Raeke (beetlekey here) and was very pleased.

From what I've read.
WCC was recently purchased by the owner of Silver Lining Restoration out of Salem, OR. He’s moving the business out of LA.

My experience with Morrie at West Coast Classic Upholstery has been favorable. There were a few bumps which they took care immediately. When I had an issue Morrie always called me back and made things right. I bought seat covers (which they installed) and a headliner. All material was great quality. I am trying to do my own headliner on a 56 oval and they have been more than willing to offer whatever help i have needed.
Just my take on them

Here is my experience:
I saw Morrie’s ad on the samba for a complete set of coves and door cards so I emailed him about making me a set of covers for my 56 convertible. He said yes, and showed me his suggested material. Looked nice but I wanted to match the original and sent him an image of what I wanted. Crickets...... emailed again, same…

Waited a month or more so I called Lenny's number on the website. I was told that Lenny retired and this person bought the shop. Great, asked about the original material and he replied yep, I have it. So I ordered the seats covers only. He told me he was backed up, and would send me an email requesting a down payment. I said fine.

An online invoice showed up so I paid it.

Two weeks later, a box from Morrie showed up with the kit. It's my bad but the names of the businesses are almost the same.

I emailed him and eventually he called me and insisted I ordered the kit over the phone, I told him I ordered it from someone else and needed to see what was happening.

Called the same number I found on Lenny's site, they had no clue about my order, I was not even in his system. So I told him to cancel what ever record they had from me.

I eventually accepted the purchase since I paid and had the seat covers.

Seems I was working with the same person all along.

My son was going to make me a set of door cards with some really nice wood veneer. But he is really too busy with his own career.

So I emailed Morrie about making me a matching set of door cards. Crickets. Again 7 days later, same. Called and left a message, same.

I get it, everyone is busy. So am I. I don’t know how many emails and phone calls he gets a day, but it only takes a minute to respond. I suspect he will not reply to me so I am going to have the upholstery shop putting the covers on make some for me.

If you want you can move this to Feedback since West Coast Classic Interiors does not have any at all.

I'll post my experience although this might get bumped to a feedback forum. I've posted before about WCC being bought by Morrie which everyone seems to know now. I had a complete Oval Euro interior on order with Lenny for months and months and eventually I found out that it would be transferred to Silver Linings - Morrie. He was on top of communication, explained the situation and what they are working through, and came through on everything as expected.
I purchased a ragtop canvas top that didn't fit right and had a seam that was sewn off the material/hole, gave new dimensions to Morrie and his team, and they went out of their way to make a new one quickly and correctly, with no charges whatsoever - really great service and even talked on the phone with one of his workers directly to figure out how to make it right! Would recommend 1000%!

Yes, patience when building a car is something you develop over years of frustration of getting F'd over a few times.
With Lenny it definitely came to patience and persistence.
I too had my complete interior and top done on my 55 vert by them and it came out amazing! His guys (their names escape me, sorry) were the key to making it happen. There were some bumps in the road when Maury took over but all was resolved and the final outcome was worth the wait.

Your vert looks fantastic. Yes, it takes time and my issue with Morrie has been straightened out nicely.

Can I ask a few questions unrelated to the interior?

I am fitting the rear quarter windows right now and I am looking at the last image. I think I have my windows currently closing too far down (flush).

If you have a chance can you snap a few images of the rubber around the front and rear of the rear quarters, those little odd pieces.

thanks

Peter

From what I was told, Morrie is building all of the seat covers and door panels then shipping them to Lenny. This is where all of the installation takes place.
Lenny's guys built the convertible top and as you can see, it's wonderful.
