My engine compartment air cleaner elbow hose has cracked and pulled apart. This is the fitting that goes right onto the top of the carb and goes to the oil-bath. I know they sell replacement ones, but I want to try and save the orig..Mine is in 2 pieces now.
Does anyone recommend a strong glue I could use to repair. I'm thinking just reg super glue Or JB Weld 🤔. What do you guys think ?? |

I would just buy a new or used intake tube. |

X2. Engine movement/vibration vs. the fixed location of the air cleaner will quickly separate any glue joint. Besides, it will be very difficult to make a neat job of the repair.
It's a 211 part number, so also check the Bus universe for a used one.
Good luck, Mondshine |

I agree that the intake snorkel is an easy part to find either good used, new reproduction or even NOS. On my car I used orange high temperature silicone and it held up well. I've since replaced this with an NOS part but this was fine. You have to clean the rubber well before using the silicone or it won't adhere.

| Thanks for the info guys. The silicone might be a good short-term fix, until I order a new one. I like that it may be a little flexible, as my guy likes a shot of starting spray every so often....so I end up lifting it off at least once per month. :D |

| Shoe Goo will work as will a polyurethane roofing caulk. As mentioned you will want a quality replacement in the long run. |
