The owner, Jamie Benn, wanted a different look. So he went with a color scheme he found within a VW brochure. It's much nicer in person. And hopefully Jamie finishes one of his other 3 Barndoor Deluxes. BTW - that BD Deluxe to the right, is also his BD Deluxe.

wait a minute, what's the story on this one ? Does the D country plate suggest it was imported from Germany recently or just a period accessory added ?
it is very interesting to see two BD Dlx(ish) buses in this same rare color combo. Could there be a connection ? like company colors?

Here's Jake "Sled" Miller's 1952 Kombi. This guy is a metal whiz!! I can't wait to see how his project turns out!!??
