Happy to say no leaks, except for a small leak that seems to come from part of the breather. I wipe it up after each run. I can't see why it would leak from there unless breather pan oil is sloshing around. I thought I filled oil to the right level but maybe I need to take the level down.

Is your road draft tube plugged at the bottom of the down pipe? I think you need to cut the slit in the new rubber "valve" that goes on the bottom of the tube if you put a new one on there.

It's not uncommon to get more than usual blow by before the rings seat. Run the car up to speed, then let it engine brake to slow down. This can help set the rings and reduce the blow by.

Yes, new ones need to be slit by the installer.

Is that a piece that goes in the bottom of the pipe that goes through the tin? None there on this old pipe.

I drained out some of the oil that was in the air cleaner and will see if that helps.

Yes. This won't affect your issue specifically, but can help dust getting sucked into the engine.

That's a good place to start.

If not the answer, maybe wait a few hundred miles of driving to see....

No oil has splashed up the generator base to the new cap; still dry. Just wet around the bottom hinge of the weighted flap on air cleaner. just a few drops end up on the tin near the dipstick after a run. Not a big thing but I have to OCD about something.
