ok did the search and not getting anything, but from tcash picks there was a good bit of info. in the older posts guys had a problem with the mounting bolts for the mirrors, too short. but it seemed like the more recent posts were favorable for the busdepot mirrors. does that sound right ?
any reason i should not pull the trigger ?
thanks |

Going back 5 years but as I recall it was the Wolfsburg West mirrors that were the good ones
Here’s the thread from 2016

i've tried a whole lot of them, check my review on the thread he linked
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=...p;start=40
tl;dr, these are incredibly good:
https://www.restobusparts.com/products/bay-window-...&_ss=r
also available from the manufacturer directly:
https://www.autowares.co.uk/product/bay-window-convex-mirror-1967-1979-pair
they look totally stock, fit great and seem to be polished stainless...
but the kicker is the difference in what you can see with them is amazing
when i drive my wife's super fancy german SUV with huge mirrors im just like "wtf how can people drive like this? wish i was in my bus" |
