Hey so my bug has been running great lately besides one issue. A couple weeks ago the shift coupler came loose and the bushing/screw fell out causing me to not be able to shift. Now it wasnt the grub screw itself but the longer screw that holds the bushing's in place. I managed to get it back together while making sure to tighten her up good this time. Wellll fast forward to last night and on the way home from work samething happen again. So Im wondering is there a way i can prevent this from happening for a third time? I have chicken wire around the grub screw so it doesnt back out but what are some ways you guys prevent the bigger screw from backing itself out?

You realize that you're missing parts in the pic... right?
There should be a nut, possibly a "lock nut" on the bolt.
