I'll start with I'm almost clueless about tire sizes. I've been scanning through Thesamba hoping to find my answers without asking but I'm unsuccessful.

I'm building my '66 beetle that I had when I was a kid. I bought 15x4 rims for the front and 15x6 for the rear. Adjustable beam on the front 2" narrowed with disc conversion. The back has 2" dropped spring plates. I'm wanting a somewhat aggressive stance. I'm trying to figure out what size tires to use. Any help and suggestions are appreciated.

Right now, I'm thinking something like 135/60 15 on the front and 205/60 15 on the back. I really wished I could see it on the car before buying them though.

A 295/60 is too wide for a 6" rim and you'll need wider rear fender.

A 215/60 will fit and is pretty aggressive.

I have 145’s on 4.5 rims and 205/60’s on 5.5 rims. 3” narrowed beam. I like the drag race look.

Would you mind showing me a pic of your setup?

135s SUCK. They don't turn, they don't stop, there are far better choices for tires.

205/60s are a good choice. I've put as big as 215/65/15 on a 6" wheel in the rear of a swing axles car.

Since your title here says Cal Look. I`ll say 145/80X15 and 205/70x15.

Yeah, yeah original Cal Look, we know.

And if you don`t like skinny tires, try a 175/65X15.

I looked through 100s of pages for tire sizes trying to get an idea of what would fit on mine. I just got this set up on my with 5.5 wide on the front and 6 wide on the rear. Thanks for putting your information out there it helped.

Can you spec the offset and width of the rims you are using?

Thank you
