We went from this...
ENIAC

To this....
Frontier 1.5 exoflops
I have no idea what an exoflop is but it sounds impressive.

AI scares the hell out of me!!

The description for these, right off of FB, was, 'We asked AI to bring "VW Thing-Bus-Bug"
Here is what we got' . . .

I love that you guys are having fun with AI. Back in the day we just fucked off with this taboo fun with our girlfriends. Good times. That AI stuff is a hoot 8)

They aren't half bad. Way better than the hack jobs that show up here on occasion.
I think I like your second set of examples even better.
So long design and mechanical engineers

I have to admit it has a good eye for colour and fantastic rendering but it's interesting how it obviously doesn't understand what is being depicted.

here's another 'creation' - sort of stout scarab vibe I think

These are getting more and more cringe-worthy.

Although the proportions are a bit off on that^ Beetle, I think it looks pretty cool.

It looks like it will only be getting worse as AI learns and gets smarter. In case you missed it, 60 Minutes did a episode Sunday (04/16/23) on AI and while it looks to be an amazing tool and have a place in society, it also scares the hell out of me. Nothing we see can be believed as before. This clip is part if not all of the story they aired.

...and a photographer submitted an AI photo to a competition - and won! he did it to prove a point though.

I also heard a report on the radio saying that AI photos/video should be required by law to have a watermark so we know they're 'not real'

Sure that will work. Criminals always respect the law. That's why they have no guns, either.
