Somehow this thread was in the 'Oval' forum and took me a while to find. Also, I took the image and uploaded it to the samba 'just in case.'

Here I made a better description to make a template.

The original photo is lost due to the original gallery been deleted but here is an improved drawing for the rear taillight for split beetles. This also show the shape/position of the dimple..
