Hi, I have one of the screws which holds the horn ring to the steering wheel sheared off. Going to try drill and tap out as nothing to lose but does anyone know what thread the mounting screws are? With callipers they measure around 3.3~3.4mm diameter. I’d been expecting m3 or m4 but seems not
This is a 1970 D ring steering wheel. |

I looked through the parts book in the technical section but didn’t see those depicted.
There are two different lengths as well. Oops never mind. I’m thinking about turn signal switch screws.
The horn ring screws are small so I’m guessing M3. There are springs and insulating washers as well.
If you have the other two you can easily carry them to a hardware store to match them up.
I’m in the USA so I’m not familiar with your vendors but I know I got a whole set from a vendor that sells replica steering wheels.
Maybe try that. |
