I am looking for some detail on jack points for my April 54. We can add any changes through the years here though. I haven't found any good photos of original jack points.

I was thinking the jack point were the same from around 52 up to 64 but don't remember why i think that. Also I was thinking the attachment changed. Were the early ones spot welded to the inner rocker? Would love to see some photos of original welds.

Thanks

Below is ,if I recall, a hanover 56? donor floor . Maybe Campingbox can chime in as it was for his 56 westy which he sourced nice original parts to use for repairs.
They appear to be spot welded and beads as well, to the inner rocker.
I believe you are correct though, that they are at least very similar until maybe 65? 66? when they added the side bubble.
Greg had supplied a few NOS jackpoints with his project , thought I had images of them but can only find the one(which I think was the only one correct, other 2 were different in some way, maybe later or brazilian?)
The other images are parts that I made along side the NOS one

Great photos. Love those original welds. :) It does look like that one had spot welds also. I suspect my 54 was the same. Hadn't notice the back plates were welded to the floor before.

Just noticed the short weld of inner frame panel that is inline with the outrigger. I will take a close look at my old frame section and see if there is evidence of that.

the jackpoints from WolfsburgWest are the most correct. Other suppliers suck

Mark's photos above match the super original '55 barndoor that I had in my shop earlier this year. Same booger welding in all the same spots.

Thanks! Likely a 54 will be the same as a 55.

I am building the jack points. I still have the crappy jack points I ordered for my 64. I ended up rebuilding the old ones.
