My son has 15,000 miles on his 2021 Golf. He needed to have his rear brake pads and rotors replaced! The fronts were fine.
I just can't believe this. The independent VW garage simply sold him this job and provided no further explanation for this premature wear... came to over $750.00. I would certainly like to know more about why this happened.
I have heard some reports about other people having such an issue. It is a stick shift and has the automatic hill holder feature, which he hates. Wondering if there is any connection between this feature and this wear? I know it could be other things... Anyone else having problems with their rear brakes?

every car since the rollout of EPB (electronic parking brakes) has 100% eaten the fuck out of rear brakes.... to the point where you do them more often than fronts.
99% of the time it's the inner pad worn to hell while the outer pad still looks like it has a lot of life left |
