Hi, wondering if you all might know anything about this.
I'm working on a '73 sedan, and just tore out the old carpet and pulled off the front heater vent covers. My vent covers were operated with a cable that attached to the heater levers. I intended to just replace them with new, but I've been searching high and low and it seems I can't buy new cable-operated covers. All I can find new are manually-operated ones, that don't use the cable connection.
I'm not necessarily opposed to replacing mine with the manual covers, but I'm curious a) whether that is indeed my only option if I want new, and b) if there's some reason why the cable ones seem to have been abandoned? (Maybe they're just finickier and the manual ones function better?)
Anyone have any insight? |

Call me crazy, but have you looked at the Classified section here? It's pretty good! |
