| ok thats not an original 76 bug speedo...so i have no idea...assuming by the vw emblem on it maybe its a later mexi bug replacement...search the part # and see what you come up with |

| Plastic housing makes me think it's a mexi-Bug speedo. If it is, the two wires are for the ECU. Like a check engine light sort of thing. |

That is a Mexican Beetle speedo, from a 1998 or newer car.
The wires are for the warning LED on the speedo, K7 below.

| By the way, K7 once translated means dual-circuit brake system and handbrake warning light |
