Hey guys! I just got my first type 3, a 69 fastback! I have been around vws for years, but its mainly been type 1s, a ghia, and numerous offroad vehicles. Anyway, the car i bought had a corvair in it back in the day, and alot of the rear sheetmetal has been cut out. That being said, i am looking for some pics of rear ducting in the bodywork behind the rear apron. I can fab up most of what i need, but would prefer to use some factory sheetmetal. So what i am looking for is some pics of the inside of the engine compartment (mostly the rear and right side)...so ill know what i need to gather up. Sorry for the long winded message...ill post a cpl pics of the car and the areas that were cut out. Thanks for looking! |

I'd look up Andy's 66 Squareback rebuild pics, as he shows a lot of what you're looking for. Fortunately a Squareback and a Fastback are very similar in the rear, including the rear fenders. The cooling ducts are the same pieces too.
These may help as well.
I hope this helps. |
