In just 2 weeks we are hosting the PDX ACW...

We have just added spots to the show area for swapers...So if you want to swap...bring it.

Also after the saturday event we will have a cruz through the "west hills" of portland ending at a killer park...
I sware that the photo opt will be kick ass...

Yo man, I've been looking for more info on that show. I'm going home (Salem) soon and am definitely dragging my parents to that show at the Int'l Raceway as I won't be driving up there. Any specific times for the Sunday Bug-In? I want to know the ticket costs etc if possible. I guess I'd better buy a digital camera for this crap. :D

Here is the basic info for the sunday Bug-in at PIR

admission is 20.00 -if you bring a car into the track
10.00 if you leave you car outside and walk in
swap spaces are 20.00
gates are at 8 am

So We are looking forward to the weekend , lots of responds from the Washington crew...Burger meet will be sweet-
Saturday show and shine will conclude with a cruz thru Portlands west hills....kick ass.

where is the Saturday thing anyway... do you have a map or directions from I-5? For those of us who get confused by Portland?

I happy to see some new events in Portland and plan on making all three, as they are all nice and close to home for me. My fingers are crossed for good turnouts and not 100deg weather. See you all there.

Am I going to have to pay 10 bucks to get my 4 and 2 year old in?
Just need to know so I have an idea on how much to get out of the register when I ransack the local 7-11. LOL

Hey Muff, have you had to pay for the chitlins to get into past shows? That messed up! I think kids under 13 should be allowed in free...but leave it to PIR to charge for them too...

As for the two events we are hosting this weekend
Friday night is a free event to all cars
Saturday show and shine is a pay event to enter the car / and there is a GA charge also but ALL KIDS 14 and under are FREE.

As for maps the locations are easy to find as they are all just off the I-5

any simple map qwest program can find the location for you. The website has the correct address on them.

Friday event is easy:

I-5 North take the Kruse exit, at the exit take a left follow down the road til the end then go right....Giant burger is on the right side of the road.

Saturday-
I-5 North take the Capitl hwy exit''...look for and follow the VW car show signs
I-5 south take the PCC sylvainia exit...look for and follow signs.

The Giant burger doent have a ATM/debit machine...Cash only please.

Every once in a while we go somewhere and they want us to pay full price for our kids. The best is when you take them to a buffet and they want to charge you $7.95! :shock: It like c'mon, he's going to eat 2 grapes and a cube of jello! LOL
Never happened at a VW show though.
Looking forward to the weekend, hope to meet some new faces.

Why don't they have more classes than that? Such as

Custom
Camper
Convertible
Baja

Things like that. It's such a big show....It's almost not fair to all those who have those specific types....

I'm going to go complain when I get there...

after talking to pete at the track the race categories will be

pro-1 12.99 and faster (should be at least 12 cars faster than 11.99 this year.

pro-2 13.00 and slower race cars

street 13.00 and slower street cars
