Hi!
What is the rectangular "ledge" above the license plate hatch? It's on the inside of the engine compartment at the rear. It's about 2"X2" and looks like it runs the entire length of the hatch.
My guess is that it acts as a conduit for various wiring connections. The reason I ask is that I wanted to mount a bracket to it that will hold a dipstick guide tube. But, I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to hit any wires.
TIA!
P.S. Sorry, I don't have any photos to show what I'm talking about. It's raining right now and I wanted to work on this tomorrow when it's dry and clear out. |

Follow link, scroll down to group 53.
It is just a structural rear member component. The rear floor plate.
Wires may run along it but not in it.
