View original topic: '77 Westy can anyone identify relay connector on LHS engine bay

Just wondering if this is of any use still?
I (maybe stupidly) am assuming its part of the old FI installation - removed by a PO.
Or is it anything to do with a Westfalia leisure battery setup?

5 wires out of the harness bundle -
4 go directly into the relay connector -
heavier gauge red / black / red+blue / red+white
Plus a brown earth which ends up in the relay via an old earth connection to chassis.
Two of the relay terminals are linked with a thicker red wire.

The other black leads in the fuse holder go to coil, rear lights and back into the harness.

Any help with ID would be very well received and earn a beer token if the responder is travelling through the Basque country in France.

Many thanks and that was quick. Sadly never saw the original FI system in my bus.
Beer token is yours if you're ever in the Basque country !

As for powering the leisure battery, you should have a relay just inside the engine hatch on the left side next to the left tail light housing.

The large red wires are hot all the time and unfused.
