This a tool I made this weekend after not having one which was part of a VW from long ago. I know it helped me not lose time or a lug bolt when remounting the wheel.
I made it this past weekend while rotating the tires. After making it, it made mounting and aligning the first bolt easier for me
The logic is simple. You screw this into a lug bolt hole after removing the wheel Then slide the wheel on the tool rod to mount the wheel. Pivot the wheel to screw in the first lug bolt and then the next. Unscrew the tool and finish with the remaining bolts.
Hope some of you find this helpful

That looks like the one I used to have. Good to know the tool that I had was still available. So about $2 USD from either Home Depot or Ace HW, then a quick cut with a Dremel or simiar. |

Nicely done. Think I’ll do the same. |
