I don't know what these are but they look like Ford glove box rubber bumpers except they are plastic with a larger base. Previous owner had installed these to cover up trim holes. They didn't stay on well and I did not like the look.

Cost of new trim and clips was going to run about $100 with shipping so I looked for alternatives. I wanted black trim so I was looking for an alternative to having to paint chrome or metal trim black. Found this molding for less than $30 in carbon fiber pattern. Came in roll of 18' so had about 3' left after doing both sides.

It was easy to cut and apply, covering and sealing the trim holes. Adheres well due to it has 3M tape on applied side. What do you think of the look?

Well, the car is butt ugly but the trim sure looks nice!

That is a good alternative and well worth considering!

Definitely looks better without all the tiny butt plugs
