Anyone know what thread the nuts that fit on the wiper shaft for ovals are? It wont fit on any of my metric or imperial gauges.
It seems to be in the m10 range, and kinda fits 3/8-16 but slips.
I know you can buy them but theyre a bit pricey for a couple of nuts if I could get a bag at the hardware store. |

I'll try a thread gauge, and if it's not spot on I take the nut or bolt down to the local hardware store and stand in front of the nut and bolt drawers trying out bolts to see what fits.
With the vw's, it's all metric.
With the MG it's a circus of horrors. |

The thread is M10 x 0.75.
You have zero chance in finding that nut at any hardware store. |

Thats great thanks, sure others will find it useful to know too.
ebay will suffice, still cheaper than the restoration stores. |
