Hello, I am restoring a Jan 1955 Oval Rag, and I am trying to identify what year seats these are. From my research and looking in the Sewfine website and here on the samba, the bottoms seem to be 56-57 because of the area were the tops attach to the bottoms. I am not sure of the tops because the tops have curved arms, and the tuck bar that runs across at the bottom seems to be attached to the springs.

| With the top radiused corners I would say 56 - 64. |

Early 55 do not have seat back rake adjusters. They began in 56 year model.

They look like '61 seats with the original covers.
The passenger seat had an aftermarket recliner kit installed at one time. |

1956-60 just a pin where the back rest met the lower frame, and 1961-64 the pin is threaded to accept a 10mm acorn nut.
Also, on 56-60 seats with the upper frames, where they meet the lower frame they come to a point, and on 61 on the flatten out. Like whats pictured below.
One more thing to note, heat seamed seats started in 60, so I would say those seats are out of a 60 originally. |
