I have heard from a couple of pretty reliable sources that the old Thermador Car Cooler is a very good cooler meaning it actually cools your car(aside from being an sweet looking accessory). But they aren't that easy to find, there is a some on Ebay every once in a while but they always get pretty expensive. I was wondering if there is another brand that has the thermodor look and that does its job well as far as cooling your car. I don't know I have seen a thermador in real life so I have no frame of reference. If anyone knows of another brand it would be greatly appreciated thanks!

I will tell you that they were suposed to be "coolers" but don't think it will actually cool it like AC, because it wont. A friend of mine owned an NOS cooler, it was brand spankin' new when he mounted it. He followed all directions on how to operate it and the end result was, well, not as I expected. The cooler pusherd the air inside and there was a bity of cooler air going in, after a while it seemed as if it was moisturising the air, like a humidifier, It will work better if you live in a mild weather town/place, not in the desert, and although it isn't AC it sorta works.
All that aside who cares, they look so cool 8) |

Be aware that swamp coolers work very well in the desert contrary to the above statement. Usually better than in any other climate.
It's all about physics, and the laws of nature. Like the simple law of Osmosis that states that water will always move from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. (7th Grade Science stuff here)
In the desert, there tends to be less humidity, thus more, and faster, evaporation. As the speed and volume of H2O molecules evaporating into the less humid air takes place, the temperature is adjusted accordingly.
(Less humid = Colder air from your swamp cooler)
It, like stated above as well, IS NOT like AC and will by no means make you feel "COLD".
