Fantastic!
It's almost ready, what is missing now? Maybe just a light polish?
Yeah, that will fix it. Keep it going and up!
Best regards & great New Year.

Great progress. Nice work on that reflector section

If you get a chance could you give me the size and thickness of the crank hole reinforcement plate? It is not a part that is often exposed.

Seeing this detail pic around the taillight opening. Is the old paint just discolored from the rubber seal, or does it look as if your 52 was delivered in (grey) primer and later on painted dove blue, with masking off the taillights ?

my 53 or 54s were all og dove blue , but it is said that more percentage of the older buses were delivered in primer.

No, as you can see in the birth certificate this one delivered in dove blue, sadly it's a lot of spray bono, repaint dove blue and moss over it...

Continue the work on that nasty rear apron, now repaired all that former damage and bad weldings with slightly better welding:

Filling in the ends of the female die will help some. You can also pre stretch the rib area but I found it was easier just to use the shrinker after.

Ok, thanks, I tried bouth, pre stretching don't work good, shrinking is not that easy in that big area.

A lot of cutting hammering, shrinking, stretching and cursing later...

The 4 parts of the parcel tray fit in the place, I maybe repeat myself but again that's the most difficult part so far for me!

Now finally i go to bed with looong arms from that work.

Thanks, i also love it, but still a ton of work.

Today i weld 4 pieces together and make them fit to the car.

I am not sure if i should weld that two parts together in the car because its near impossible to bring the in the car in one piece...
