Hi

I've searched but I can't find any posts about this subject.

I'm reassembling a 56 Beetle that the previous owner pulled apart. I'm finding the odd thing missing like the window guides.

I cant seem to find anywhere to buy the window guides on the rear of the door for an Oval.

Can I use the 1958 model ones. They look similar.

Cheers Steve

Looks like they are the same 52-58:

that is just the metal piece , then a rubber gasket lines the metal piece and then felt fabric goes over all that .

for my bug i bought the new gasket from Keifer and inserted it in the old metal but have not added the new felt yet , that part looks a bit intimidating .

i have some old nos complete ones here for sale . make me an offer ?

i think thats one way to go to maybe be more accurate . but most hot rod shops sell fiber lines window channels , there rigid but can also be bent to do curves .........i have a few of these pieces here too , vw shops used to sell it , thats where i got it from .

here is what wolfburg is selling . looks like the pre lined channels to me . its been a while so i donr remember everything but the original metal piece has a couple mounting holes . you may need to improvise a bit if you use the modern channels there .
