i have had this piece kicking around for decades , a left over from my 53 bug interior . this was the back seat side panel trim piece ....... i think i ended up using some wolfsburgwest repo trim but i hung onto this ...... just trying to share how it was attached to the panels . this original trim has a steel insert that it pierced in a way to to sorta make these tacks to bend over to hold it in place . it has 2 tacks at each end and singles for the length . that insert had to made precisely to fit inside the trim and match all the door card/panel trim holes n just bend em over ..... i just find it fascinating to look over this piece and see the work / tooling to make it ??? i can get the insert to slide enough inside the aluminum trim to maybe remove the inset but i never went that far :-)

the repo stuff you just slide individual connectors nothing like this ?
